Beautiful waterfall with fresh-fruit surprise finale!

This guided hike was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Moorea. It was not very rigorous, so most people should be able to complete the short hike to the waterfall. Additionally, walking sticks are provided and recommended by the staff.

Our guide was excellent, she was very knowledgeable about the local island wildlife and plants. She pointed out lots of fascinating plants and indigenous rock structures along the hike.

The waterfall itself was gorgeous and I HIGHLY recommend going for a swim, even if the water is a bit chilly. Floating in the water under the waterfall was a refreshing experience and almost spiritual given the location.

The best part of the hike was at the end they provided us with a light course of local fruits! Everything was so tasty and clearly very fresh! It was all laid out on large elephant-ear leaves and was beautifully composed.

Our guide was very friendly and even made a detour to take photos of my wife and I on our way back to the hotel.

10/10 would recommend!
Informative and fun

We had a wonderful time with our guide, Yvette. She took us through her garden. While doing so, she introduced us to the local vegetation. She’s very passionate regarding the history of the Polynesian people and their many accomplishments. We learned a great deal regarding the history of French Polynesia while on this trip. We got to see many different plants and vegetation on the hike. The hike was not difficult. She was also very careful that we didn’t fall despite some slippery areas. She’s very cautious about everyone’s safety. Our tour was private. We went to the waterfall and swam. She was very good about taking pictures and answering all of our questions. We have many great pictures and videos from this and would highly recommend this for anyone visiting the island.
Fun waterfall hike

The waterfall hike was one of the highlights of our trip to French Polynesia and we did a lot. Yvette and Tracy were outstanding guides and it was so much fun to learn about Moorea and its culture and hike to the falls. Our whole family would highly recommend the experience.
Beautiful Nature Hike, Garden Tour, Lovely Waterfall

Great hosts showed a tour of the nature scene in their private garden and trail. The hosts were really good about explaining the local culture and fauna. Yvette and Tracy are stewards of their local land and culture so is a must if you want to learn about Moorea's history in addition to finding a magical waterfall.
Breathtaking waterfall!

Loved learning about the plants and flowers of Moorea! Hiking up to the waterfall was absolutely breathtaking and the fresh fruit after the hike was delicious. Highly recommend this excursion!

Excellent staff and experience. We were a group of 4 (40’s to 80 years old) and even though the trail was muddy and slippery we were helped when appropriate. The swim at the waterfall made it all worthwhile and the fruit and coconut snack at the end was superb. I highly recommend this trip.
Must- do on Moorea

As you can see from all the reviews, this is an outstanding tour company. We enjoyed getting to know Yvette, the owner and guide. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. It makes the tour more than just another tour.

The waterfall was not to be missed. Swimming and taking pictures was one of the highlights of our entire trip.
A Beautiful and Educational Hike

The guides are fluent in several languages and spoke excellent English. We were picked up from our hotel in a very comfortable, air-conditioned van and driven to a parking are at the beginning of the hike. Guide Yvette first showed us about local grounds and garden with various food plants and fruit-bearing trees. At the end of the hike were were able to sample several of the fruits. The walk goes gradually uphill and overall is not that difficult, but there are some potentially treacherous short stretches higher up along a steep hillside, so keep an eye on the trail, not the camera in those places. The falls were delicate due to little recent rain, but were delightful. My wife and I were delighted with the guides and their narration of natural and cultural features and with their concern for client safety.
Would highly recommend!

The hike was personal and informative. We really enjoyed Evette and Tracy's guidance and helpfulness throughout the hike. We learned a lot about the local culture, history, and plant life. Tour guide was prompt for pickup and the fruit lunch after was amazing, fresh, and a joy to experience.
Highly recommend this hike and swimming at the waterfalls.

Swimming at the falls with our amazing guides Yvette and Tracy. They were so knowledgeable about Moorea’s history and folklore. Learned so much as they were very passionate about preserving the island’s past and seeing to its future. The people on tour were so friendly and this make the activity even more fun. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Fantastic

Amazing hike ! Amazing guide ! Yvette has a lot of knowledge about Polynesian history and culture . Hike started in her garden where she grows her fruits and vegetables . Along the path to the waterfall you will come across several interesting plants . My favorite is the red ginger . When you squeeze it a fluid with the consistency of a shampoo comes out and you can use it as hand soap also . Mother Nature is amazing . However this hike is not for the faint hearted . It takes 30 -40 minutes each way and it is an extremely rugged terrain and it rains a lot in January . If you have any medical alignment or back or knee issues I would not recommend . Also make sure you have real good hiking shoes . Hike ends in her garden where she treats you to fruits grown there . What an amazing day and what a beautiful memory !!!!
Exceptional

What a day !!! Amazing Guide ! Yvette is exceptional . She has tremendous knowledge of the history of Polynesia .
The hike starts in her garden she grows pretty much all the fruits and some vegetables . Along the hike path there are several additional plants . My favorite one was the red ginger you squeeze it and a fluid the consistency of shampoo pours out and yeah it’s a soap like a disinfectant and you can wash your hair with it . Mother Nature is amazing . Now let me explain about the hike it is 30 to 40 minutes each way , but not for the faint hearted. It’s a total rugged terrain and it rains so it’s super slippery and muddy . Make sure you have the best shoes . It’s quiet physically challenging but well worth it . If you have any medical alignment I would recommend not to go .
After you finished Yvette and her team serve you with fresh fruit from her garden .I have never eaten fruit like this . What an amazing memory !
You should do this!
