Overview
We will take you to the heart of the island of Tahiti. You will be able to see our beautiful mountains, waterfalls and natural pools.
You will be able to enjoy a beautiful panorama while sitting in a new and very comfortable open-air 4x4 equipped with local music in the back. If the weather is nice we can swim in the natural pools and if it rains we can appreciate the multitude of waterfalls that the rain will offer us. We are waiting for you to make you discover this Polynesian treasure.
Be careful, the road is very rough.

Amazing tour for the whole day filled with the great drive, safari experience, stunning nature, waterfalls, coconut drinking, snack tasting and music beats! Friendly tour guide made our day unforgettable!!! Highly recommended to book in advance!
One highlight was the ability to stand in the car (once off the public roads). It's a bit shaky in places, but was well worth it.
There isn't a map in tour description. Please see the attached picture of the actual route (drawn on the car): the red line crossing the island from north to south is the actual tour. The car does follow the coast road to get there and back, but does not stop at any beaches.

This is the perfect tour for nature lovers. We went on a rainy day and were able to see numerous waterfalls that only appear after a rainfall. The mountains were beautiful even with the rain and clouds. It is a long and bumpy ride but the view gets better around every turn. We had a very nice time.

Amazing tour through the mountains of Tahiti. Loved seeing all the beautiful scenery and waterfalls! Tour guides were so kind and funny and taught us great history of the island. Would 10/10 recommend!
A tour into the jungle :)

Vaitea was a really good tour guide. He spoke both French and English. He was very kind and happy all along the way, which made us really happy throughout the tour. We saw marvelous places!! This tour is a great way to experience the inner jungle of Tahiti in a convenient manner. But beware though, it doesn’t include lots of hiking, but still you’ll have to grab on tight because the ride does get bumpy :)

A wonderful way to view the wilder part of the island. It is a very bumpy ride and not for the faint of heart, but the scenery is beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable. The Tahitian music added to the experience.

Our Guide Rainui was amazing. He helped us to feel the "Mana" of Tahiti. Exolained all the plants, fruits and stories of the native people.
The highlight was to swim in the river and relax surrounded by breathtaking views.
Be aware that this tour is very long (~8 hours) and extremely rough. We are very adventurous and enjoyed it. Rainui is also a very safe driver. I am convinced that not everybody can drive safe on the tough off-road paths.

Traveling throughout Tahiti was so much fun with our guide. There were so many beautiful scenic views, waterfalls and natural beauty all around! The entire family enjoyed the Safari and lunch and it was fun for all-our own adventure!

This tour was amazing! It was a bumpy ride and I probably need a chiropractor and a massage to recover but it was worth it! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and still did the tour even though the minimum number was not reached. I went to Tahiti to celebrate my 50th birthday and this tour made my celebration even more special.

This was an amazing and beautiful trip through the center of Tahiti. We had an amazing time and our guide went above and beyond to show us the different plant species, the best swim spots in the river and the waterfalls. Would absolutely do this again!

The experience was incredible. And our quite was exceptional in every way!. Knowledgeable experienced and was very attentive to the needs of the group.. and a most experienced driver which was a very good thing and made us feel very comfortable. He was awesome! What a fantastic day and experience to remember.

This tour was amazing from start to finish! We stayed at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti and was picked up right on time. Our tour guide was great! He was very respectful, informative about the whole island, and always made sure we were safe. The tour is very bumpy but the views are unforgettable. He makes plenty of stops to teach us everything he can about the nature of the island. It was raining on some parts of the tour but he’s able to zip up the truck with a cover if it’s raining too hard.

This was an all-around awesome tour through the central of Tahiti. There are so many incredible views of mountains, countless waterfalls, great swimming holes and rivers, and lots of native flora. Rainui, our tour guide, was excellent, entertaining, and informative about different plants, animals, nature, and the history of the people and clans of the Tahiti valley. While the terrain in some spots was bumpy, it wasn’t too bad overall. Be sure to bring flip flops, a swim suit/towel, and bug spray and it‘ll make for a fantastic day. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend doing it.
Breathtaking Views Only Available by 4x4

We saw so much on this tour. It is impossible to see it on your own, as it’s a one lane mountain road through the middle of Tahiti. The views were spectacular. Our guide did a nice job of speaking in both French and English while pointing out historical things and features. Bring lots of water, snacks, lunch, suns screen and bug spray and water appropriate clothes and shoes. There are no stores to stop at if you forget something mid tour.
Communication with the actual tour operator was confusing- as he changed pick up location and time without us getting the massage, so verify all of those details the night before. Cell service is not always reliable and making plans via an app has been sketchy at best. Most people use what’s app over here so I would recommend connecting on that before you leave whatever country you live in.

When I first arrived in Tahiti I wanted nothing more to explore the beautiful mountain of Otemanu and its green surroundings. This tour gave me exactly that and more! We ent through the valley, swam in the river, went through a dark tunnel, and saw beautiful waterfalls. Vaitea is an incredible guide (and driver)! Our group had varied languages spoken (French and English) and gave the tour in both! It rained hard for a bit but it added wonder to the experience.

We had a fantastic time on this tour. The views are absolutely incredible! It’s truly a unique experience and one that you should definitely see. The roads are rough, bumpy and treacherous at times, but our guide was very experienced and never had any concerns. Make sure you bring plenty of bottled water with you, and sunscreen, because there are no stops along the way for you to buy anything, or use the rest room. Would definitely recommend!!!

One of the best tours I've ever been on, the experience was amazing. It was easy to contact Tahiti Safari Islander tours and arrange a pick up and answer any questions. The environment and scenery was mesmerizing it felt like I was in a movie. Our guide Rai Nui was great, super knowledgeable about the nature and history of the island, funny and friendly ready to answer any question and a great driver. The best part for me was swimming in the river and seeing all the waterfalls. Highly recommended.

I went on a really rainy day and personally, I don't think I got enough value for my money.
It is like the others and priced like the others, but not my cup of tea. You're on a really bumpy road for hours, and rain was splashing on us trough the truck here and there. This would have been okay for off-the-charts scenic beauty, but on our rainy day, the waterfalls were all obscured by clouds and mist, and the river was chocolate covered. Stopping at the restaurant was an eagerly awaited respite.
