Come and meet the magnificent Moorea lagoon and Polynesian culture in a small group with the best local guides.
After picking up from your hotel, sail in the lagoon of Moorea to discover stingrays and black tip sharks. Enjoy a break with a drink and fresh fruit, then you can dive in and admire incredible fish and coral reefs. You will then be driven back to your hotel.

Wilfred was AMAZING - friendly and very accommodating, sharing a lot of interesting information, singing and playing the drums for us on the boat, helping everyone and making sure we all had a great time. Gorgeous tour, highly recommended !

Amazing Time! Wilfred our guide was so awesome and informative. Really enjoyed our tour. Perfect amount of time on the boat in the lagoon and that coconut bread was divine!

This group was awesome. They were helpful, funny, and knew how to make all having the experience feel comfortable. We were able to book easily online, and it was all we'd hoped for. The places they showed us were beautiful, of course, and Maana's added commentary and history information was a fun bonus. Plus we happened upon several turtles, which he could see from way off and pointed them out to us before they dove and disappeared. We also happened upon a pod of spinner dolphins and he took time to talk about the dolphins and was very respectful of them while also letting us experience seeing them.
The sharks and rays were amazing and he made everyone feel safe and informed. SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE

Loved every minute of this tour! The host was exceptional - took great pics of our family, was funny, everything about it was amazing. Lots of sharks and rays!

We had a great time with Mana on our 3 hr long Snorkeling tour. We made the reservation a few days ahead but depending on the time you could probably also make a reservation a day before (we kept an eye on the weather forecast). We were picked up right on time and went to the dock where three of the outrigger canoes were waiting. There were different boats depending on the duration of your tour. Our captain Mana was super welcoming, friendly, his English was very good and he shared a lot of facts about Moorea with us. First snorkeling spot was the a little close to Captain Taina Island where you could see multiple sharks and a lot of sting rays. The 2nd stop is close to Coco Beach where you can visit the Coral Garden over there. Heads up, the current there can be quite strong and I wouldn't recommend going there with very small kids who are not strong swimmers (to protect your kid and the coral). after those two sessions we were dropped off directly at our hotel Ponton and went happy for lunch :)
What we saw:
-Blacktip Reef sharks
- sting rays
- dolphins
- a sea turtle
- plenty of colorful fish
- some fancy yachts
- unfortunately plenty of dead coral (obviously not to the fault of Miti Tours)
- some anemones in the coral garden
what was provided:
- drinks (water, juice, beer etc.)
- fresh pineapple (yum)
- goggles
what I recommend:
- bring your own snorkeling gear (even a cheap one will suffice). Goggles are fine but I really enjoyed having my snorkel so I could just keep watching all the fish.
- no need to bring fins (the water is too flat most of the times anyways and you could risk breaking corals)
- water shoes!!
- towel and plenty of sunscreen
- bring time as you never if there might be a delay due to a different guest
Personal addition:
I know that a lot of guests are asking for it and enjoy close encounters with wildlife and an island like Moorea is living of the tourism industry. I personal do not like that Rays are toched and held for photo opportunities. However it seemed that everyone at Miti Tours handled them with great care.

Nice Tour, Awkward to do 3 Hr Version

Nice tour! Really nice crew and comfortable boat. Lots of great cultural and historical information offered. Great to see Moorea from the ocean and swimming with the sharks and rays was super cool.
We did the 3 hour version of the tour as offered on their website & Trip Advisor. We were the only ones on the boat doing the shorter version, everyone else was doing the 6 hour tour. This seemed to cause the crew some inconvenience. They wanted us to stay for the full 6 hours which didn’t fit into our plans.
They dropped us at a beach when the 3 hours was up and had someone come pick us up in a truck. It was fine but a bit awkward. I would suggest doing this tour if you want the full 6 hours but consider a different operator for a shorter tour.
